Her father was worried and suggested that she should marry. “I decided that I’d say ‘yes’ before I even met him. I hated feeling like a burden.”

A Cute Romantic Story of A Couple You May Not Believe

7. Some Love Stories Are Not Really Romantic At First

My love story was so strange that even today, I still couldn’t believe it. It was absolutely incredible. I had just completed my graduation. One day I had gone to the marriage ceremony of a neighbor where he saw me & through that relative arranged the meeting at his office. He was 27 years old and was from a rich business family.

As I was only 20 years old at that time so I did not want to get married. But my father forcefully sends me to his office. He was facing towards the window when I reached his office. Our conversation, which, at first, seemed nothing more than a usual job interview is below.

He: India’s stock market is giving such a good performance, do you think stocks are over-valued?

Me: I don’t know (Facepalm).

He: What do you think Sensex could reach in 2020?

Me: Silent, as I didn’t expect such a date.

He: India’s power & real estate sector is falling. Which sector do you think could drive India’s economy? Would it be power, textile, real estate, or pharma?

Me: Real Estate (Literally felt like crying, but don’t want to be rude so made a guess.)

What Happened When A Boring Conversation Ended

After that, he gave a long lecture on Japan, China, and America’s economies for about 10 minutes. After some time, I start respecting him because he was a very focused person but I thought he was not for me as he appeared like a workaholic. I wanted my partner to be caring, loving, humble, sweet, and pampering. But he didn’t look like one. But then he finally spoke other than Economics.

He: Tell me something about yourself. Tell me about what are your hobbies, what you like to eat.

When he asked me this question I thanked god as he spoke something useful, at least his wife wouldn’t get bored. However, for me, he was a reject.

Me: I love cooking, and traveling. I love spicy chaat, Dal Bhat (Puse-rice), and Kachori (Stuffed roti). What do you love?

He: I love everything. I am a big foodie. I like spicy food mainly. I love the chaat of chatwala near UPSC Building. I too love traveling, especially on beaches.

ME: How can a lecturer be a foodie and a travel lover?

He: I hope you didn’t get bored by my long lecture. I was just observing your patience.

Me: Shocked and started laughing.

Romance Is The Vital Element of A Happy Married Life

He cracked some really funny jokes & our conversation continued for another 5 hours. I got to know everything about him. I enjoyed talking to him. When I reached home my father asked me how was he and I started blushing and he understood that it was “Yes” from my side. After a few moments, his father called our home & he also said yes.

After 3 months we got married. During the Vidai (The Bride’s Farewell) ceremony, I was crying so much as I was attached to my mother and started even crying more when the car went away. He hugged me, pampered me and passed his hands over my head, and said, “Good girls don’t cry”.

He is the most romantic person I ever met. He takes at least 5 hours every day without fail for me. He always pulls my cheeks, plays with my long hair, kisses & hugs me. I love keeping my head on his stomach. He plays a lot of pranks on me. Let me share with you a crazy incident at Karva Chauth.

In the morning, I woke up at 5 am. He also woke up with me. I kept a fast for him, he kept a fast for me. I did Pooja (Worship) in the afternoon. After I came, He start murmuring while smiling, “Hey Bhagwaan Meri Biwi Ko Lambi Umar Do” (God, bless my wife with a long life). I wore a red saree, he wore a red kurta pajama.

He was actually copying me. At night, finally, he got over-romantic. After our fast was over, he hugged & kissed me in front of the whole family. Everyone started laughing. I blushed and ran into my room. I have been married for 2 years. Life after marriage has been very good.

8. A Story That Shows Why A Happy Marriage Is Heaven In Itself

While waiting to pick up a friend at the airport in Portland, Oregon, I had one of those life-changing experiences that you hear other people talk about — the kind that sneaks up on you unexpectedly. This one occurred a mere two feet away from me. Straining to locate my friend among the passengers deplaning through the jetway, I noticed a man coming toward me carrying two light bags.

He stopped right next to me to greet his family. First, he motioned to his youngest son (maybe six years old) as he laid down his bags. They gave each other a long, loving hug. As they separated enough to look into each other’s faces, I heard the father say, “It’s so good to see you, son. I missed you so much!”

His son smiled somewhat shyly, averted his eyes, and replied softly, “Me, too, Dad!” Then the man stood up, gazed into the eyes of his oldest son (maybe nine or ten), and while cupping his son’s face in his hands said, “You’re already quite the young man. I love you very much, Zach!” They too hugged a most loving, tender hug.

While this was happening, a baby girl (perhaps one or one-and-a-half) was squirming excitedly in her mother’s arms, never once taking her little eyes off the wonderful sight of her returning father. The man said, “Hi, baby girl!” as he gently took the child from her mother.

Know How A Husband And Wife Should Love Each Other

He quickly kissed her face all over and then held her close to his chest while rocking her from side to side. The little girl instantly relaxed and simply laid her head on his shoulder, motionless in pure contentment. After several moments, he handed his daughter to his oldest son and declared, “I’ve saved the best for last!” and proceeded to give his wife the longest, most passionate kiss I ever remember seeing.

He gazed into her eyes for several seconds and then silently mouthed. “I love you so much!” They stared into each other’s eyes, beaming big smiles at one another while holding both hands. For an instant, they reminded me of newlyweds, but I knew by the age of their kids that they couldn’t possibly be.

I was puzzled about it for a moment then realized how totally engrossed I was in the wonderful display of unconditional love not more than an arm’s length away from me. I suddenly felt uncomfortable, as if I was invading something sacred, but was amazed to hear my own voice nervously ask, “Wow! How long have you two been married?

Unconditional Love Is The Secret of Every Happy Marriage

“Been together fourteen years total, married twelve of those,” he replied, without breaking his gaze from his lovely wife’s face. “Well then, how long have you been away?” I asked. The man finally turned and looked at me, still beaming his joyous smile. “Two whole days!” Two days? I was stunned.

By the intensity of the greeting, I had assumed he’d been gone for at least several weeks – if not months. I know my expression betrayed me. I said almost offhandedly, hoping to end my intrusion with some resemblance of grace (and to get back to searching for my friend), “I hope my marriage is still that passionate after twelve years!” The man suddenly stopped smiling.

He looked me straight in the eye, and with forcefulness that burned right into my soul, he told me something that left me a different person. He told me, “Don’t hope, friend… decide!” Then he flashed me his wonderful smile again, shook my hand, and said, “God bless!”

A Story on The Ultimate Secret of A Truly Happy Married Life

9. A Beautiful Story That Shows How To Add Romance To Married Life

Ex-Indian President Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam talked about the deep relationship between his parents in an Interview. Here is the story in his own words: When I was a kid, my Mom cooked food for us. One night in particular when she had made dinner after a long hard day’s work, Mom placed a plate of ‘Subzi’ (Cooked vegetable) and extremely burnt ‘Roti’ (Bread) in front of my Dad.

I was waiting to see if anyone noticed the burnt roti. But Dad just ate his roti and asked me how was my day at school. I don’t remember what I told him that night, but I do remember I heard Mom apologizing to Dad for the burnt roti. And I’ll never forget what he said: “Honey, I love burnt roti.”

Later that night, I went to kiss Daddy, good night & I asked him if he really liked his roti burnt. He wrapped me in his arms & said, “Your momma put in a long hard day at work today and she was really tired. And besides… A burnt roti never hurts anyone but harsh words do!”

“You know my son, life is full of imperfect things… & imperfect people…” I’m not the best and am hardly good at anything! I forget birthdays & anniversaries just like everyone else. What I’ve learned over the years is:

“To Accept Each Other’s Faults & Choose To Celebrate Relationships.”

Moral of The Story: Life Is Too Short To Wake Up With Regrets… Love the people who treat you right & have compassion for the ones who don’t.

10. Couple Should Ignore Each Other’s Faults For A Romantic Bond

Once there were two families living nearby in a small town. One family had constant quarrels and the other one lived quietly and friendly. One day, feeling jealous about the nice atmosphere that flourished in the neighboring family, the wife told her husband, “Go to the neighbors and look what they are doing for such well-being.”

The husband came, hid, and started watching. He saw a woman who was wiping the floor in the room. Suddenly something distracted her, and she ran to the kitchen. At that time her husband rushed into the room. He did not notice the bucket of water and occasionally kicked it, so the water overflowed.

Then his wife came back from the kitchen and said to him, “I’m sorry, honey, it’s my fault because I did not remove the bucket from the pass.”

“No, I ‘m sorry, honey, it’s my fault, because I did not notice it.” said the husband.

After returning home, the wife asked her husband, “Did you understand the reason for their well-being?”

Husband humbly said, “I guess that I did. You see, we always seek to be right, while each of them takes the blame on himself.”
